Supplier Transformation Manager - 10 month Fixed Term Contract

About the role.
We are looking for a Supplier Transformation Manager to join the team for a 10 month fixed term contract. You’ll be part of a key transformation project for Shop Direct over the next 10 months, being at the forefront with 100’s suppliers and key stakeholders across Shop Direct.
You’ll take the lead for ensuring that all branded and own brand supplier who currently deliver into our fulfilment sites are meeting compliance for our new fulfilment site, Skygate from February 2020. You’ll ensure that all suppliers are compliant to prevent a potential impact to customers.
Communicating face to face through supplier visits, via email or over the phone, you’ll have excellent stakeholder skills at all levels, facing into any questions or listening to feedback around new compliance processes and feeding back in a timely manner to internal stakeholders.
To keep internal stakeholders up to date you’ll identify and report on supplier performance against our compliance targets, should there be any concerns, you’ll create and implement an action plan to ensure all suppliers can meet the Skygate deadline.
Engagement and communication is key in this role, you’ll build on established relationships with our suppliers, providing communication and updates until we move to our new site. You’ll also manage the transformation section of the supplier website, ensuring all information is relevant and up to date.
Our colleagues play a large part in ensuring that key messages are reinforced in their day to day interactions with our suppliers, you’ll ensure that they are kept up to date and engaged throughout the project, with a focus on our Retail and Operations colleagues. You’ll do this by creating and executing a clear communications plan to ensure that nominated leads within each category are up to speed with progress, issues, risks and next steps.
The team in fulfilment are already doing a great job recording compliant and non-compliant products as they arrive into Shaw and Little Hulton, providing a weekly report, you’ll work with the team to understand improvements and risks. You’ll work closely with the Supplier Transformation Lead, creating and proposing compliance targets, ensuring that the master supplier transformation database is up to date. When required you’ll interpret data and provide clear and presentable updates to the Lead but also internal stakeholders.
As this is such a fast paced project you’ll be a great team player, adapting your skills to support different aspects of the team when needed. You’ll have experience of working with suppliers or third parties day to day and have a high level negotiating skills.
