About the role.

As a Credit Risk Strategy Analyst you will be making best use of the increasing amount of data available to make more informed decisions for our in life credit risk decision strategies including interest rates, credit limits and authorisations.

Reporting to the FS Manager – Credit Analyst, you will work with the business to help us make the right decisions at the right times. Whether it’s providing performance analytics on strategies, or supporting the development of statistical models for optimisation, you’ll be expected to provide insight and recommendations on customer and commercial outcomes.
You’ll work on multiple priorities within a fast paced, dynamic environment and you’ll need to be able to manage your time and prioritise your workload. You will play your part to meet the broader needs of the business and deliver a world class, personalised experience for our customer.
You’ll be surrounded by the best talent across Financial Services and the wider group – working collaboratively to fulfil the ambitions of the business and the Credit Risk Strategy department.

About You

You’re curious, analytical and logical by nature with a keen eye for detail.
Experience in SQL or SAS is desirable but not essential. You will have excellent Microsoft Excel skills too, but we’re also interested in your softer skills - your ability to collaborate and build effective working relationships across the wider Shop Direct analyst community.
You’re highly numerate with a degree in a relevant discipline. You enjoy working on complex problems and will support with developing solutions.
Working at pace with competing and changing priorities doesn’t faze you - you thrive in that type of environment and you look for opportunities to make improvements.
There is very little hierarchy here and if you were to join us, you would be expected to have a voice and the confidence to use it.
